Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter

The new prototype arc fault protection system (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter) was developed from a laboratory analysis of the waveforms characterizing the arc and the search for appropriate indicators that would enable its detection. The algorithm developed in collaboration between STMicroelectronics, UNIPA and INM-CNR was then implemented and field tested at LAYER's photovoltage plant.
